Benedict Halsy Fine Art

Benedict is an impressionistic figurative artist. He paints almost exclusively from live poses, working quickly to capture light and form. His goal in each painting is to record a moment, a feeling, that is fleeting in reality, but captured for in paint forever. According to Benedict, "Art should be an experience from begging to to end. From the stretching of the canvas and the final brush stroke, to the experience of the viewer."

Halsey works in oils and his use of color abounds throughout his work finding joy in the subtleties of skin tone and form. Each piece speaks to his skill as well as the attributes of the subject.
